Today was a free day for the team. We started by hiking up Sugarloaf, a local hill. It was quite a steep climb and rather misty today, but the view was still worth it. Grace Carolan and local mission worker Heidi joined the team. After scaling the hill the team plus Heidi piled back in the car to head back to Glenmaris, taking a short detour to see Heidi’s place. Today was Olivia’s birthday and we celebrated at Glenmaris with a Dutch butter cake, made by Lisa and Kathryn. In the afternoon we boarded the DART and headed into town for sightseeing. We had a lively discussion about the bible with two people on the train, which the entire car was listening to. Once we got off the DART the first stop was Trinity College and the Book of Kells. Then we headed to O’Neils for some pub grub and then to Grafton street for some shopping.  Lastly we made a stop at Murphy’s for some ice cream. We boarded the DART, which was chock full of fans headed to the USA vs Ireland football (soccer) match. Thankfully they all got off a few stops later and we had a quiet ride back to Shankill, with a few good conversations with passengers on the train had by Tim and Lisa.
